REVIEW: FUEL, RANDOM HERO, NAUTICAL MILE, & GANG FORWARD 2/23/2013

Grizzly Rock put on a good concert. The evening brought together Fuel, Random Hero, Nautical Mile, and Gang Forward. It was a great opportunity for the opening bands to get heard since a lot of people were going to turn out to see Fuel. Grizzly Rock is a fun place to see a band since it has multiple levels and nice viewing angles. However, it seems like the bartenders keep getting worse. I’m not much for complaining about an establishment, but my experience has gotten worse and worse each time at the bar. This go around, I was bothered by getting an already opened beer during one exchange. It made me question its freshness and if something could have fallen into it. Also, when I went to close out my tab at the end of the show, I received a snarky, “What do you want dude?” Maybe I’m over reacting, but it seems like the staff would be nicer when they are expecting me to tip them at that moment. Moving on.

The attendance of Puddle of Mudd at Grizzly Rock marks the biggest name to come through that venue to date. I can’t wait to see what future acts they can pull in. All around, this show was pretty awesome. The evening was kicked off with local band Lost Point followed by Judd Hoos. The crowd piled in fairly early, making it hard to get a beer by the end of Lost Point.

REVIEW: REV THEORY, OTHERWISE, & LOST POINT 10/26/2012

Rev Theory, Otherwise, and Lost Point was a big show for Grizzly Rock. Slowly, this venue is pulling newer and better talent onto its stage. This show started off very sparse and slowly filled in but never got packed. I was able to get a drink between each band and return to my spot next to the stage with no problem. All bands ended up putting on a pretty good show.

REVIEW: WARRANT 7/28/2012

The place: Grizzly Rock.

The day: July 28th.

The event: a good ol’ fashion rock show!

What better way to spend a Saturday night than at a sweaty rock ‘n’ roll show? 80’s power house, Warrant, and Guns ‘N’ Roses cover band, Paradise City took the stage at the newly opened Grizzly Rock. The venue was perfect, and the show was great. There were even signed Warrant Grizzly Rock event posters available.
